America’s Cup Pedigree | Championship-Level Refit | Turn-Key Racing Inventory

Enterprise is a 1977 Sparkman & Stephens–designed 12 Metre, built by Minneford Yacht Yard as a U.S. defender candidate for the America’s Cup. Designed by Olin Stephens and David Pedrick, she was among the most technically advanced yachts of her era, incorporating extensive tank testing, early laminate sail development, and forward-looking performance modeling.

Between 2019 and 2023, Enterprise underwent a comprehensive, no-expense-spared restoration and modernization program. Today she stands as one of the best-prepared and most competitive modern 12 Metres, combining classic pedigree with modern race-boat systems and a deep, current sail inventory—offered as a true turn-key campaign platform.

Recent Refit & Upgrades (2019–2023)

  • Keel removed and reworked; reshaped to class templates; bottom faired
  • Lead added to trim tab; new trim tab, rudder flaps, and new rudder
  • Deck professionally painted
  • Carbon drive shafts; mainsheet overdrive and first-gear lockout
  • Moore Brothers high-modulus carbon boom (Max E) plus spare boom
  • Square race and round practice spinnaker poles
  • Kevlar backstays; new halyards and running rigging
  • Winches, hydraulics, and rudder bearings serviced

Sail Inventory

  • Mains: 2023 Max E, 2021 Max E, 2019 shorter E (spare boom)
  • Headsails: G1 Superlight (2023), G1 (2023 x2), G2 (2023), G3 (2023), G2 (2021), G1 (2019)
  • Spinnakers: S43 / S46 / S49 (2023 and 2019)
  • Specialty: Spinnaker staysail (2019), A1.5 (2019)

Enterprise has proven her performance with multiple race wins and a 2nd-place finish in the Modern Division at the 2019 12 Metre World Championships, confirming her status as a front-running 12 Metre.

Enterprise represents a rare opportunity to acquire a historically significant, professionally restored, and competitively proven 12 Metre—ready for immediate racing,
